The U13s interest in the cup came to an abrupt end against Thixendale. Batting first Thixendale compiled a formibable total of 103. In replay the Dunnington wickets tumbled, with four falling in an over at one stage. Dunnington finished a good way short of their taregt.

The U13 put up a good fight but were eventually to finish short of their target. Late runs in the Woodhouse innings ultimately won them the match. They finished on 94 after their 20 overs.

This match was called off due to the rain

The U13's run as the Club's most successful Junior team in 2008 came to an end last night at Sheriff Hutton. They battled hard to reach Sheriff Hutton Bridge's total of 105 but ended on 91-9. Oliver Smith and George Thompson had both retired on 30 but came back to the wicket in the penultimate over. The task was just too great by then, but this was a fitting end to their campaign.

The team suffered at the hands of a very good SHB side. Batting first SHB racked up 130, then blew away the bulk of the Dunnington batting. Only Stephen Dodsworth offered any meaningful resistance in a toal of 37-9.

The team bowled & fielded well to restrict Woodhouse to 84. They followed up with a much improved batting performance that unfortunately came up 5 short of the target. Stephen Dodsworth & Daniel Littlewood were the main batsmen.
