Jack Bolam (34) & Simon Richardson (18) had batted well against a top notch Woodhouse bowling attack. Woodhouse reached their target with 2 balls to spare when Joel Hughes hit a 6 just when things were looking tough for them. Jack Lehuray, in his senior debut played well, returning figures of 2-28. Sam Tattersall bowled 4 good overs against Woodhouse's 1st team batting line up for 1-15 and Rob Chipps took 2-10. | | 14/05/2008 18:30 | | Home | Won | 2 | | Another very young looking team took on Barmby Moor looking to get their first win after defeat by Woodhouse last week. Adam Dyson opened the bowling with Sam Tattersall and Barmby Moor scored well whilst constantly losing wickets. Rob Chipps took 3 wickets and Jack Bolam a couple. Grant Bulmer bowled a decent 4 over spell in his first match for over 2 years. A slow start by Jack Bolam and Simon Richardson suddenly caught fire when Gareth Miles joined Bolam, who decided to take apart the Barmby Moor change bowlers. the target was reached with 4 overs to spare. | | 21/05/2008 18:30 | | Home | Won | 2 | | The Champions League final may well have lead to the creation of a new form of the game. This 12Twelve match proved to be so fast and exciting that the scorers couldn't keep up. Stamford set off furiously, launching into junior opening bowlers Sam Tattersall and Jack Lehuray. Rob Chipps, considered a senior player in this team took 2-6 from his 3 overs and Stamford finished on a challenging 85-4 from their 12 overs. Jack Bolam signalled intent by putting the first ball of the innings over Common Road and into the potato field. Once he was joined by Gareth Miles a competition developed to see who could score fastest. Dunnington raced to their target with 8 wickets and 2 overs to spare! Bolam finishing with 38 and Miles 36*. | | 28/05/2008 18:30 | | Away | Rain | 1 | | This match was called off due to the rain. | | 04/06/2008 18:30 | | Home | Rain | 1 | | This match was a casualty of the wet weather the previous night | | 11/06/2008 18:30 | | Away | Won | 2 | | This was a good victory with a young side against a strong Heworth team. Jack Bolam hit a rapid 62, Paul Miles supported with 23, Gareth Miles & Joe Butcher made valuable contributions in the closing overs. Heworth were never out of it in a chase that reached the last ball. Jack Bolam was the most economic of the bowlers. Jonny Andrew was impressive in the field, Duncan Griffiths was not! | | 18/06/2008 18:30 | | Away | Rain | 1 | | This match was lost to the rain without a ball being bowled. | | 25/06/2008 18:30 | | Home | Lost | 0 | | A strong Woodhouse team rattled up 146 in their 16 overs. Jack Bolam took one wicket but spilled two vital catches early in the innnings. Bolam helped Skipper Paul Miles make a spirited response until he was caught for 25. In a post match interview he claimed the wind had held up his lofted off drive turning a six hit into an easy catch for the waiting fielder. Despite a quick 18 from Adam Sutcliffe & more runs from Miles who was out for 49 the match petered out into a predictable Woodhouse win. | | 02/07/2008 18:30 | | Away | Lost | 0 | | A disappointing defeat for the Foss team. Restricted to 90-8, with only Rob Chipps (35) making an impact. Jack Bolam was victim of two of his ex-teachers from Pocklington School for just 8. Barmby knocked the runs off for the loss of just three wickets, thus no bowlers are worthy of a mention. | | 09/07/2008 18:30 | | Away | Lost | 0 | | The Foss team lost to local rivals Stamford who reached their target on the penultimate ball of their innings. On a low scoring night Dunnington reached 69-6 and Martin Veysey from Stamford saw them home with 32*. Heworth easily reached the target and took the points | | 30/05/2007 18:30 | | Home | Lost | 0 | | The Team's misable start to the season continues. Woodhouse, fielding 6 First team players, batted first and amassed 135 runs in just 16 overs. Considering the number of sixes to the short boundary, the team were lucky not to lose any balls in the beck! Andy Chipps (4-28) was the only bowler to take a wicket. In reply Dunnington lost early wickets. Joe Butcher mounted a mid innings fightback with a sprightly 34, but even this was a token gesture as the team finished on 82-7. | | 06/06/2007 18:30 | | Away | Won | 2 | | Report to follow | | 13/06/2007 18:30 | | Away | Rain | 1 | | This match was rained off without a ball being bowled.
