Dunnington Career 2003- Present:
 
Andy ChippsAndy learnt his cricket playing for Cockermouth in the Cumbrian Senior League. He played for Leicester University and then spent several years playing cricket in Doncaster.
 
A right hand bat and medium paced bowler who came out of retirement in 2003 to help the 2nd team through a severe player shortage. Then became a regular 2nd teamer, winning the batting award in 2006 & 2007 and gaining a reputation for economic if unspectacular bowling. Occasional player for the 1st Team, mostly in Sunday cup matches.
 
Was the first Captain of the Intermediate side when it was created in 2005 and was in the team which won the competition in 2006. He played for the 2nd team throughout its undeafeated season in 2005, when it won the Division 5 title and was also a member of the Foss team which won Division 1 of the Foss League in 2006. In 2007, playing for the 2nd team in Division 5, Andy scored 591 runs which was the second highest total in the divison that year.
 
Became a coach in 2004 and gained ECB Level 2 qualification in 2008. Since started work on Level 3. Ran the U15B team in 2007 and the U9 teams in 2007 & 2008. Joined the committee as Treasurer in 2006 and worked on the Club's Clubmark accreditation scheme, representing the Club at the City of York Cricket Development Group.
 
Helped manage the project to fund and construct the new Scoreboard & Equipment shed in 2007. Andy created the Club's website in 2005 and also instigated the use of the ECB Play-Cricket website to store results and playing statistics.
 
He assisted Harwood Williams in the organisation of 3 tours to the Caribbean isles of St Kitts & Nevis in 2006, 2007 & 2008. The highlights being the victory against the MCC at St Kitts Warner Park Test stadium and figures of 4-0-29-5 against the Police Team.
